Fat Man and Little Boy (1989)

Rated PG-13

This film follows the Manhattan Project, the project that designs and built the first atomic bombs, Fat Man and Little Boy. Starring Paul Newman, Dwight Schultz, Bonnie Bedelia, John Cusack, Laura Dern, Natasha Richardson

The film follows the relationship between the two head men of the project, Gen. Leslie Groves and Dr. J. Robert Oppenheimer, with John Cusack playing a fictional character that gives the conscience to the project. Cusack also allows there to be a love interest. This is a fictional account of the Manhattan Project and it is quite Hollywood stylized. If you’re a history bluff I wouldn’t watch this except for exceptional cast.
