Nightmares and Dreamscrapes (2006)

Rated NR

This miniseries is based on short stories by Stephen King, where all your dreams turn into nightmares. There are great performances by some of the best actors and actresses of our time. Every short story was directed by different directors which made each short in a different style. The stories come from our worst nightmares or dreams as only Stephen King can tell us. Toys coming to life, getting lost, and writing yourself into your books are just a few of the dreams or nightmares that’ll haunt you in these stories. I enjoyed the performances by William Hurt, Claire Forlani, William H. Macy, and Steven Weber.

Do you feel that the film adaptations are up to par with the stories they are based on?

I haven’t read many books to the films I have watched. Although, it is my opinion with the books I have read that it is difficult to convey the writer’s intent to film.
