Not being a Firefly fan, I’ve actually never seen an episode, I rather admired this film. Watching the film, I didn’t feel that I would need to see the TV series to understand what was going on or who these people were. It kept my attention throughout the film besides keeping me entertained. It made me want to watch the TV series and I will.

I knew virtually nothing about the series when I saw Serenity, but I too thought it was great fun. There was a lot that was confusing, though. In fact, it was when I finally saw Firefly that I realized how much of the movie I hadn’t understood. I highly recommend the series: it gives such depth and weight to everything in the movie, and has numerous fantastic storylines and moments that just don’t seem to happen in movies nowadays.
Thanks, I do have Firefly on my to watch list after I watched the film. I can’t wait to see the series.
