A donkey becomes a hero during the first Christmas. Starring Steven Yeun, Keegan-Michael Key, Aidy Bryant, and Zachary Levi.
I don’t know why so many people don’t like this film. It’s a little unsettling to see the animals’ point of view of the Savior’s birth, but it does tell the story of Jesus’ birth. There is nothing that is not Biblically truthful in the telling of the birth except having the animals present the story. It’s not the first time a film has taken the animals side of the story, and they don’t overtake the message. The Biblical story is there, and the animals’ innocent point of view is a cute way to appeal to children. The film includes humor that is funny for everyone, and I love the soundtrack. It’s a film that should be watched every year. It’s worth a watch.
