I was a little surprised by Zac Efron in the film. I waited to watch this due to the thought of Zac Efron being a romantic lead. Although, Efron is the age of most of the young men fighting for our country, I still questioned on whether he could play an adult romantic lead. Surprise, he did. He was able to pull off a man struggling to over come his demons and woe a woman with a child.

To the film, I am a fan of Nicholas Sparks and this is quintessential Sparks film based on his book. I still feel his books are better but this film is as well done as could be. If you’re in the mood for a romantic film this film will be a fix.
