Prisoners (2013) Rated R

PrisonersWhen a couple of neighbor’s daughters going missing, the fathers would do anything to help find them. Starring Hugh Jackman, Jake Gyllenhaal, Viola Davis, Maria Bello, Terrence Howard, Melissa Leo, Paul Dano

This is a long movie with too many twists in it making you confused and tired. I’m not saying that this film isn’t watchable but I found the twists too tedious and unrealistic. I kept thinking if Hugh Jackman’s character hadn’t made the decisions he made how quickly would Detective Loki (Jake Gyllenhaal) find the suspect or would he even find the suspect. I questioned more on whether Jackman’s character helped or hindered the investigation. Even with all this, the actors did an amazing job. I was awestruck with their performances. It’s a film to check out.
