A newlywed woman finds herself alone with a neurological disordered child to raise. Based on the novel by Luanne Rice with the same title. Starring Kimberly Williams-Paisley, Campbell Scott, Eric Close
I appreciated this film but the story is heartrending but at times the story seemed to miss some continuity. Things didn’t always seem to run smoothly. When Mark proposes, Dianne seems to not question his feelings toward her daughter. If I was a single mother, I wouldn’t only be looking for a husband but also a father to my daughter and she just didn’t seem to think of it. I found this extremely strange considering their past. This film does cover a lot of hot topics, so I can see that something’s slip through the cracks. It’s still worth a watch though.
