Christmas in July (1940) Rated NR

christmas-in-julyAn office worker who enjoys entering contests to win prizes hopes that someday he’ll win enough to propose to his girl. When his office decides to pull a prank on him that he’s won $25,000, good things start happening, but when the truth comes out, he’s not ready for it. Starring Dick Powell, Ellen Drew, Raymond Walburn.

Such an enjoyable film, I loved it!  This sweet man enters contest after contest, hoping he will be able to make a few extra bucks and win some prizes to boot. His co-workers just want to pull an innocent prank on him which gets him more than he bargained for. Funny and feel-good, with no harm done, this comedy is worth a watch.
