Between the Folds (2008) Rated NR

Between the foldsA documentary on origami. Starring Erik D. Demaine, Martin L. Demaine, Vincent Floderer, Vanessa Gould

I know most of you are thinking, wow, that’s a boring documentary but it’s so much more than folding paper. They talk about making paper and what the future of folding can do. Art in general is so much more than the aesthetics’.  I will say this, I loved them showing what they can do with one sheet of paper and I know you would be shocked by the detail that some of these are. It’s not just paper airplanes or cranes. Although, when they started getting into the mathematics and the computer sciences of origami they lost me. The future of origami is amazing but so over my head. I can’t believe what they can do with one sheet of paper and what they could truly do with it. I mean the medical mysteries to solve unbelievable that art and science can so mash. This film is truly educational.
