Aquarius (NBC) Rated TV-14

AquariusA 1960s cop goes undercover to track down Charles Manson and the Manson family before the killing spree. Starring David Duchovny, Grey Damon, Gethin Anthony

A historical fiction piece, the show takes the basic story of Manson and embellishes it with added fictional characters and story lines.  It does a nice job of creating the cultural atmosphere of the 60’s that surrounds the events.  Other than that, though, the characters didn’t pull me in. I am intrigued that the creators already have six seasons of this show planned out, which means they have a definite idea of where it is heading.  Even so, it just wasn’t all that interesting to watch.  I wouldn’t say it’s a pass, but I only moderately recommend checking it out.
