Playin for Love (2013) Rated NR

playin for love

A High School basketball coach tries to turn the team around but falls for his star player’s mother. Starring Salli Richardson-Whitfield, Esai Morales, Jenifer Lewis

This is a typical romantic comedy. The coach tries to woo the single mother of his star player in or to get her to sign him to the “right” team. She’s smart and it takes awhile for him to get pass her walls. She in turn is just trying to teach her children the values and morals of a good life. Of course, problems ensue when she finds he lied to get close. So, typical romantic comedy. What sets this movie a part is the actors. Albeit, the actors weren’t able to pull me into the characters lives or make me care about their issues. This film is not worth a watch, just because it wasn’t worth watching.
