A young man falls in love with a beautiful rich girl, but he has plans to travel before settling down. This is met skeptically by everyone except for his fiancée’s sister and his brother. It is a remake of a 1930 film by the same name. Starring Katharine Hepburn, Cary Grant, Doris Nolan.
I loved this film. Who can help but enjoy a George Cukor (director) film. Hysterically funny, this is screwball comedy at its finest. However, it also serves as a great character film: each of the characters are both complex and humorous. They fit their parts perfectly, and I especially enjoyed watching them perform the slapstick humor of the script. This is a can’t miss film- totally worth a watch.
