Holiday Engagement (2011) Rated TV-G

holiday engagmentAfter a woman is dumped by her fiancé, she hires an actor to pose as her formerly intended when she goes home for Thanksgiving. Starring Bonnie Somerville, Shelley Long, Jordan Bridges, Sam McMurray, Haylie Duff.

I know the concept is overplayed, but I never fail to get hooked by the fake engagement films.  This isn’t one of the better renditions, but I thought that Bonnie Somerville and Jordan Bridges worked well together, and who doesn’t love a little Shelley Long (even if she is a tad over zealous)?  Flaws and all, I found myself thinking about this movie long after I watched it, and I even wanted to watch it again.  These, for me, are markers of an overall good movie.  This movie is worth a watch.
