This miniseries was quite intriguing, even if it did deviate from the original story and other film adaptations. I thought Izzard as Long John Silver was perfect, and Wood’s performance as Ben Gunn was one of his finest yet. I must admit that I haven’t read Stevenson’s novel, so those who have may not enjoy this film as much as I did. For those less familiar with the story, I think you will find it fascinating, as I did. I think it is worth a watch.
