Where Hope Grows (2014) Rated PG-13

Where hope grows

A baseball player, whose life is on the outs, meets a young grocery store stocker with Down syndrome and his life is reawaken. Starring Kristoffer Polaha, David DeSanctis, McKaley Miller, Danica McKellar, Brooke Burns, Kerr Smith

This film tried to be warm-hearted and I really wanted to like this film. At times I did. Other times I felt the film didn’t want to be over powering  in what I would say the preaching of the story. They (the filmmakers) wanted to tell a story but what story did they want to tell. It wasn’t very strong. It was like a lukewarm story with not much meat. It’s a great story I just wish it was better executed. Take the climax of story, it was over dramatized, we all knew what was going to happen and who was there. There was no need to do the dun dun dun. It’s still worth a watch.
