Bully (2001) Rated R

bullyA group of teenagers conspire to murder a friend whose emotional, physical and sexual bullying has become too much. Based on the 1993 murder of Bobby Kent. Starring Brad Renfro, Bijou Phillips, Rachel Miner, Nick Stahl, Michael Pitt.

This gritty tale had my head spinning, literally.  Both sordid and surreal, the movie plunges us into the underbelly of American life.  One scene in particular made me physically ill, just from the motion of the camera, as it circled around a group of friends as they discussed the plans for the murder.  Faster and faster the film spun around, until I could no longer focus my eyes on the screen. The murder itself was disturbingly realistic.  With all of the sex and nudity involved, I really feel this should have received an X rating.  I cannot recommend this movie; it is a pass.
