The Choice (2016) Rated PG-13

The ChoiceNext door neighbors meet, and the choices they make define their lives. Based on the book by Nicholas Sparks. Starring Benjamin Walker, Teresa Palmer, Maggie Grace, Tom Wilkinson, Alexandra Daddario, Tom Welling.

This a romance story through and through. Sure, it’s unrealistic, but still it is beautifully told.  It is also one of Nicholas Sparks’ better books. It’s on par with  The Notebook:  a classic romance where the choices the two characters make impact their lives forever.

The actors were perfect for the roles. I’m becoming quite fond of Benjamin Walker, having just watched him in In the Heart of the Sea.  I had gotten so tired of Sparks’ movies that I have been avoiding them, but he definitely redeemed himself with this film. I’m so happy that I watched it; it is worth the watch.
