Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Slayer (2012) Rated R

Abraham Lincoln vampire slayerAbraham Lincoln has discovered vampires are planning to take over the United States, so he plans to hunt them down. Based on the novel of the same name by Seth Grahame-Smith. Starring Benjamin Walker, Dominic Cooper, Anthony Mackie, Rufus Sewell.

This film is definitely an interesting take on American history. It does a good job of accurately representing historical events, although it is really just a bit of fluff as a story (just like the book).  Still, it is fun to imagine how events could have happened, were vampires real.  Unfortunately, the CGI was overdone and distracted from the story. If you are looking for a diversion, you might enjoy it, but overall, I would say it is a pass.
