Legion (FX) Rated TV-MA

legionBased on the Marvel comic books by Chris Claremont and Bill Sienkiewicz. David Haller was diagnosed as schizophrenic as a child. He’s been in and out of hospitals most of his life when he meets another patient and their encounter causes him to believe the voices and visions he sees are real. Starring Dan Stevens, Jean Smart, Mackenzie Gray.

This is a very stylized version of the Marvel Comic books, to the point where I wondered if we would ever get to the super hero aspect of the story. The story is very confusing and not focused like things usually are in the Marvel universe. It took me a while to get the gist of the story, and even then I wasn’t sure if the producers knew what they were going for in this show. There is a lot of style with very little substance. I’m hoping they will be able to iron out the story, since I do love seeing Stevens on-screen; he always seems to pick the most unusual characters.  Despite its lack of focus and content, I still think it is worth checking out.
