La La Land (2016) Rated PG-13

A jazz pianist and an aspiring actress fall in love in Los Angeles. Starring Ryan Gosling, Emma Stone, Amiée Conn, Rosemarie DeWitt, J.K. Simmons.

I love, love, loved this film. I wish they made more films like this. The opening sequence is so fabulous, a perfect homage to L.A. The vivid colors and cinematography is stunning. Add to that the performances of both Gosling and Stone, and I wanted to dance right along with them. This is the third film that Gosling and Stone have collaborated on, and you can see the great chemistry they have. Even as you watch their love blossom and see dreams come true, there is still some honest conflict and regret that add depth to this story. This film was due all the accolades it received.  Do not miss it, it is worth a watch.
