The Neverending Story (1984) Rated PG

A boy discovers a fantasy world through the pages of an old book. Based on the novel by Michael Ende. Starring Barret Oliver, Gerald McRaney, Chris Eastman, Noah Hathaway.

A wonderful fantasy about a boy named Bastian who struggles with his self-worth. He is plagued by bullies from school and grieves the recent loss of his mother. One day, while being chased by the bullies, he steals a book from a book seller. As he begins reading, he is transported into the world of Fantasia, a fantasy representation of his real life.Through the book, Bastian learns his own worth.  This is a great movie with a valuable message and definitely worth a watch.
