Life (2017) Rated R

A group of scientists discover a dormant life form from Mars which is now a threat to life on Earth. Starring Hiroyuki Sanada, Ryan Reynolds, Rebecca Ferguson, Jake Gyllenhaal.

An unoriginal film reminiscent of Alien, it fails from the start when the scientists fail to send the life form into space after it attaches itself to the first human. From this point on, you can’t help but question the intelligence of the scientists (i.e. the script) as they struggle to figure out how to handle this alien life form. A predictable twist at the end fails to improve the poor construction of this film. I can’t help but wonder what made these A-list actors sign on to this film; it is among the worst in their filmography.  This movie is definitely a pass.
