The Shell Seekers (1989) Rated PG

With three grown children and a lifetime of memories, Penelope must discover the secret to happiness for her future. Based on the book by Rosemunde Pilcher. Starring Angela Lansbury, Irene Worth, Sam Wanamaker

I could identify with the characters in this film. Penelope is getting older and all she has is memories from her life. The film overall, isn’t the best film but it does speak to the audience about what’s important in life. Angela Lansbury was perfect for the role of Penelope as she struggles with what her life has become and trying to overcome the mistakes she’s made. The film doesn’t follow the book well but it does tell a good story. I wish I could still say this film is worth a watch and it is if you are a fan of Angela Lansbury.
