Red Dawn (2012) Rated PG-13

A group of teenagers try to save their home town when they are attacked by  North Koreans. Starring Chris Hemsworth, Josh Peck, Josh Hutcherson, Adrianne Palicki, Connor Cruise.

This is an updated remake of the original 1984 film. Instead of Russia, they are facing attack from North Korea, which makes the film more timely. However, the previous version did a better job of showing how these teenagers actually fought back. In this film, they just look like kids who are acting out, not necessarily protecting their town or country. If anything, they are irritating the enemy, not combating them. For this reason, the film doesn’t hold a candle to the 1984 version; it is a pass.
