CHIPS (2017) Rated R

A rookie officer is teamed with an undercover federal agent to investigate some dirty cops who were involved in a heist. Starring Michael Peña, Dax Shepard, Vincent D’Onofrio, Adam Brody, Ryan Hansen, Jane Kaczmarek.

This is nothing like the TV show Chips from 70’s. The film has a lot of adult, crude humor, which I expected, but found disappointing. Crude humor, in my opinion, isn’t very funny. If you can look past it, though, the story isn’t half bad. It at least started out well-written, although by the third act, it seemed like they were just trying to piece it all back together again. By the end, it felt like a waste of time to have watched it. This movie is a pass.
