A woman married to a British judge is caught in an explosive love affair with a Royal Air Force pilot. Starring Ann Mitchell, Jolyon Coy, Karl Johnson, Rachel Weisz, Simon Russell Beale, Tom Hiddleston.
This film was difficult to watch. The wife is a complex character who has a tendency to self-destruct. Her husband holds her back and her lover is equally troubled. The story is slow-moving and very dark. Nothing seems to lighten the mood. It’s really too heavy and slow to keep the audience’s attention, and the characters are so dysfunctional that it is hard to care about them. This film is a pass.
