Amour (2012) Rated PG-13

Two retired musicians’ love is tested when one of them has a stroke. Starring Jean-Louis Trintignant, Emmanuelle Riva, Isabelle Huppert.

Amour is the story of a couple whose love sustains them as age and illness wear away at their bodies. This film tugs at the heartstrings, as we watch the daily struggle of these life partners who are fading away.  It can be difficult to watch, and the ending was not what I expected. Thoughtful and quietly compelling, this film is worth a watch.
