A Warrior’s Heart (2011) Rated PG

A high school La Crosse player deals with the death of his father, having a new coach, and his own arrogance. Starring Kellan Lutz, Adam Beach, and Ridge Canipe.

This film is a predictable teenage sports drama; it didn’t leave much of an impression on me. A Warrior’s Heart highlights La Crosse, a lesser-known sport. I’m from a state that is rich in Native American culture, so I’m familiar with La Crosse. The film’s look into this often neglected sport seems to be the only thing going for it. The script is soft and flat; there isn’t any weight to the characters or the conflict in the story. Adding to this film’s downfall are the actors, who struggle with the script and don’t pull you into the storyline. This film isn’t worth a watch.
