Star Trek: Into Darkness (2013) Rated PG-13

Starfleet finds a terrorist among them. Starring Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, and Zoe Saldana.

As a daughter of a Trekkie, I’m getting rather irritated by this new timeline that they have decided to follow. I felt that this movie went farther down the rabbit hole. I praised J.J. Abrams’ 2009 Star Trek, but this one feels like they just chose a story from the original and rewrote it. I praised the decision in 2009 to change the timeline, but now I’m not so sure if I like it. It seems that the storyline is very convoluted; the film doesn’t hold true to the original concept. It’s like they took everything good about the original story and flipped it on its head. I will still say that this film is worth a watch, but I don’t know if it will continue to be worth a watch.
