It’s 1973, and John Paul Getty III, the grandson of one of the richest men in the world, is kidnapped in Rome. While Getty is held for ransom by the Italian Mafia, his grandfather seems apathetic to the situation.  Starring Donald Sutherland, Harris Dickinson, and Hilary Swank.

This show is different from All the Money in the World, a film covering the same historical event. The series follows the Getty family as they live in a world where family isn’t a core value. The grandfather lived a life of debauchery, his son lives a life of excess, and the grandson lives a life without boundaries. This is just the start of the series. The kidnapping of John Paul Getty III, is one of confusion, as the grandson had contemplated being kidnapped, and the grandfather could care less about his family. It’s a compelling story that FX brings to life. This show is worth a watch.
