Patrick Melrose (2018) Rated TV-MA

Following the death of his father, Patrick Melrose tries to overcome his addictions and demons that stem from his abusive father and indifferent mother. Based on the book by Edward St Aubyn. Starring Benedict Cumberbatch, Jennifer Jason Leigh, and Sebastian Maltz.

This is an excellent miniseries. Benedict Cumberbatch brings Patrick Melrose to life and skillfully portrays the character’s struggles. Cumberbatch’s performance is incredible as he depicts Melrose grappling with his addictions and facing the past that haunts him. The drug addiction is real, and Cumberbatch brings it to life brilliantly. I really can’t say enough about how good his performance is – it’s what makes the show. This is worth a watch.
