Four friends vow to stay connected as their lives are pulled in different directions. To help, they find a pair of jeans that fit each one perfectly and decide to pass the jeans around one summer. Based on the book, Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, by Ann Brashares. Starring Amber Tamblyn, Alexis Bledel, and America Ferrera.
What’s amazing about this film and its book is that four women are able to find one pair of pants that fit each of them perfectly. The film mostly followed the tone of the book, but of course, there are discrepancies between the film and the book. Since I haven’t read the book, I did enjoy the storyline and seeing these women change over the course of a summer. The storyline was great in that it didn’t have too many adult themes in a pre-teen film. The actresses were all good, and I enjoyed each of their stories. Of course, each story has something that every girl can relate to. Thus, making the film worth a watch.
