Stan & Ollie (2018) Rated PG

Laurel and Hardy used to be the world’s famous comedic duo, but they try to reignite their act on what becomes their last tour together. Starring Steve Coogan, John C. Reilly, and Shirley Henderson.

Seriously, this film leaves much to be desired. Both Coogan’s and Reilly’s performances as Laurel and Hardy were wonderful to watch. That was the only enjoyable aspect of the film. What it lacked was a good script; the film seems to jump around on the timeline of the duo’s career. The jumps aren’t smooth, and they leave holes that are hard to follow. I did, however, love that the filmmakers used unseen scripts of Laurel and Hardy in some scenes, bringing them back to life for a few scenes. I wish the film would’ve given more to the audience, but it just didn’t. This is not worth a watch.
