Daddy’s Little Girls (2007) Rated PG-13

A mechanic falls in love with his attorney as he battles for custody of his daughters. Starring Gabrielle Union, Idris Elba, and Louis Gossett Jr.

There isn’t anything horrible about this film, but there isn’t anything that makes it stand out. The movie is a romantic comedy that has a woman of influence fall for the guy on the wrong side of the tracks. It includes the usual clichés of a woman of prominence and a man who struggles in life as a black man. There isn’t a lot of depth to the script; although, Tyler Perry tries to go there with the clichés of the African-American lives. I enjoyed that they make the dad have some balls and work hard to provide for his family. Still, this film is not worth a watch.
