Bumblebee (2018) Rated PG-13

On the run in 1987 from the war between Autobots and Decepticons, Bumblebee heads to Earth to find sanctuary for all Autobots. Starring Hailee Steinfeld, Jorge Lendeborg Jr., and John Cena.

This film is a typical Transformers film. It’s got action without a lot of story to back it up. It’s sort of a backstory of Bumblebee, who has the most heart for the humans. The film doesn’t always make sense, the script doesn’t always flow, and there are plot holes. At times the story doesn’t seem to be taking place in 1987 except for a few cultural references. Hailee Steinfeld also seems out of place; she is 22 now, and after having seen her in a few adult roles, she seems too adult to go back to being a teenager in this film. This film isn’t worth the watch.
