My Giant (1998) Rated PG

A Hollywood agent stumbles upon a giant living in Romania and decides he’d be the perfect movie star. Starring Billy Crystal, Kathleen Quinlan, and Gheorghe Muresan.

This film isn’t a bad movie. It’s not the best, but it is definitely not the worst. While working in Romania, Crystal, the Hollywood agent, loses his job and almost dies. A giant who lives a simple life saves him. The agent brings him to America in order to get him in the movies, but he uses the pretense that he’ll reunite the giant with the girl he loves. Both characters are looking for love that seems to be out of reach. Each receives some of the love. This film is sweet and enduring; it has some emotional scenes mixed with some comedic lines. This film is one that the whole family will love, making it worth a watch.
