Allegiance (NBC) Rated TV-14

A rookie CIA analyst learns that his family is part of a Russian sleeper cell. Starring Hope Davis, Scott Cohen, and Margarita Levieva.

This show is boring and has very bad writing. It might have been interesting if they tried to make sure Alex, the CIA analyst, stays in the awkward nerd stage rather than making him into a Casanova-type guy. It just doesn’t mix. Also, with how smart he is, wouldn’t he have an idea that his family was a sleeper cell? The show has a good premise, but the writing and acting just don’t make the show run smoothly. I don’t know if it’s just the new show’s ruff edges or if it’s bad show vibes. This show isn’t worth a watch.
