Maybe I’ll Come Home in the Spring (1971) Rated NR

After finding out the hippie lifestyle isn’t all that it’s made out to seem, Dennie comes home to more judgement. Starring Sally Field, Eleanor Parker, and Lane Bradbury.

I thought that this was a realistic look at what the true hippie lifestyle was like back in the 60s and early 70s. These days, I think most people look back at it as nostalgic. This film shows what it was really like for hippies. Of course, Dennie’s family isn’t all that it’s cracked up to be either. She has a really dysfunctional family as well, which is what makes her head out to find what she’s missing in her family life. If she is able to get out of both, she will be one strong woman, but the film doesn’t really give much for the ending. However, I this film is good at showing why the hippies came about, making it worth a watch.
