All I Want for Christmas (1991) Rated G

A couple of kids try to bring their divorced parents back together for Christmas. Starring Harley Jane Kozak, Jamey Sheridan, and Ethan Embry.

This film is a Christmas twist of The Parent Trap. It’s actually not as charming or cute when the kids try to get their parents back together. I think part of the problem is the other storylines involved. The son has his mind on a crush, and the daughter seems to realize that just asking Santa to get them together isn’t going to cut it. Of course, the parents have the chemistry that makes us question what was wrong in the first place, and no real answer is provided to fix said problem. When the kids do try to get the parents together, everything goes according to plan rather than having issues arise. Then you have Santa, which feels completely out of place in a Christmas film. This film is not worth a watch.
