Fatman (2020) Rated R

Santa Claus is fighting to save his business, while a 12 year old hires a hit man to kill Santa after receiving coal. Starring Mel Gibson, Walton Goggins, and Marianne Jean-Baptiste.

This is not your usual Christmas film. There is nothing warm and fuzzy about this story. Santa is not warm and fuzzy; he’s a little curmudgeon, but over the years his business has gone down. It’s a modern adult telling of Santa trying to figure out how to keep his business afloat while children continue to be bad. One child in particular hires a hitman, who hates Santa Claus, to kill him. There’s only one thing wrong with that – how do you kill Santa Claus? Mel Gibson plays Santa, and Marianne Jean-Baptiste is Mrs. Claus; they both humanize the myth. This film is a fun, twisted, strange story that is worth the watch.
