A retired widower decides to go back to work and becomes a intern for an online fashion site. Starring Robert De Niro, Anne Hathaway, and Rene Russo.
This is an interesting concept. I thought Nancy Meyers could’ve gone down the “let’s make fun of the older generation” path. Luckily, Meyers didn’t go down that road. Instead, she focused more on what we can learn from the older generation. The story is sweet with little conflict. I was a little worried that De Niro and Hathaway would fall in love, luckily they did not. The romance in the film is put on the back burner, leaving the friendship between the two co-workers in the spotlight. The film is a sweet story but doesn’t have any depth to it. The ending was flat, making the film not worth a watch.
