This series follows the story of the Black church through history and culture in order to have cultural change. Starring Henry Louis Gates Jr., Cornel West, and Reginald L. Barnes.
I was not impressed with this series. However, the historical background of the church was informative and interesting. What I struggled with was that they talked about the racial divide like they want to continue it and how the Black Church is integrated into the political arena. The is a well-documented history of the church, the changes it has gone through, and the influence it has on the culture. However, the show is not worth a watch.
