Vice Versa (1988) Rated PG

A divorced executive and his son touch a Tibetan skull, which causes their minds to switch bodies. Starring Judge Reinhold, Fred Savage, and Corinne Bohrer.

I was pleasantly surprised with the performances of Reinhold and Savage as father and son, respectively. The casting was brilliant, and they played their parts well. Even with the typical body swapping plot, the performances made the film enjoyable. I think the nuances in their performances really show how realistic this would look in such an unrealistic scenario. There is also a distinctness between both characters’ roles when playing an adult versus a child. I’m surprised this one didn’t do as well as some of the others in its genre. It’s a film that is worth a watch.
