A team of engineers faces the challenge of moving a historic Martha’s Vineyard lighthouse more inland. Starring Izolda Bush, Len Butler, and Holly Herbster.
This documentary is an interesting telling of the complexity of moving a historic building 134 feet. I, myself, have experienced something similar with our moving of a 100-year-old family homestead. It’s a complex project and one that is interesting, to say the least. Although, I felt they focused on the mechanics of the move rather than the actual move itself. Then again, these moves are more mechanical than anything. Maybe if they added more history about the lighthouse I would have enjoyed it more. Alas, this film just didn’t have enough appeal for it to be worth the watch.
