The Big Chill (1983) Rated R

A group of college friends gather for a reunion after one of the friends dies. Starring Tom Berenger, Glenn Close, and Jeff Goldblum.

We see a group of friends who had such high hopes for the future in college but it’s 15 years later and they are disillusioned about their lives. Yet, over the weekend to gather they gain some of their hope back. Add in the amazing soundtrack of the 60s to bring these friends together and it’s a film about nostalgia and the paths we all take to grow up. The casting is brilliant. It’s well written and I wonder what their lives would be like after this rememberable weekend. It’s one of those films that makes us look at our lives and wonder where we are and where we are going. This film is worth a watch.
