Two young students at a private school keep the nuns on their toes with their antics. Based on the book Life with Mother Superior by Jane Trahey. Starring Rosalind Russell, Binnie Barnes, Camilla Sparv, and Hayley Mills.
This film is from its own time while also being timeless. It takes you back to childhood and the joys of what school was like and the conflict between children and their superiors. The chemistry between Russell (Mother Superior) and Mills, who plays one of the girls, is wonderful to watch. This film really understands the women and their relationships with each other. It was both written and directed by a woman, which was extremely unusual at that time, but it shows that the film is timeless due to the characteristics of the women. This is a film worth a watch.
