Money Monster (2016) Rated R

A financial TV host and his producer find themselves in a hostage situation with an investor. Starring George Clooney, Julia Roberts, and Jack O’Connell.

Well, this film is a disappointment. It’s slow burning with lack of thrill. Mostly, the film consists of the characters talking to each other about the financial drop of stock. It highlights the Wall Street greed, then looks at the facts and figures. It’s also a film that puts Clooney on a pedestal. Plus, you have Roberts who could’ve phoned in her performance since she is mostly in the control room during the film. This film, though the story could be possible, comes off as unrealistic. It’s is unfocused and without a point. This film is not worth a watch.
