The Conjuring 2 (2016) Rated R

The Warrens travel to London to help a family with young children face off against a house with a supernatural spirit. Starring Patrick Wilson, Vera Farmiga, and Madison Wolfe.

This film brings the Warrens to England to fight a demonic entity. I always find these films that are based on a true event scarier than fictional stories of horror. I also am very aware of the fight between God and Satan, and seeing it portrayed on film is rather scary. This film has everything that horror films need. It has the boom scare factor, levitation possession, and the dreariness of England’s rain. While it isn’t as scary as the first film, it moves the story along, which I think is the highlight of the series. This installment isn’t the best in the series, but it is still worth a watch.
