Dune (2021) Rated PG-13

The adaptation of Frank Herbert’s epic science fiction novel of a son from a noble family who’s entrusted with the most valuable element in the galaxy. Starring Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, and Oscar Isaac.

I will, again, state my disclaimer that I’ve never read the book, Dune. The film has great cinematography, but the pacing and film length is hard to get through. Then, you have bad audio; it fluctuates between loud music and quiet dialogue that is hard to hear. The most that this film has going for it is the visual aspect. The acting leaves much to be desired; although, I will state that the names added to this film are there to work on their acting chops. The story really gets good during the fighting scenes. Overall, the film is interesting, but I must not be on the Dune bus because it’s not worth a watch.
