All the King’s Men (2006) Rated PG-13

Based on the Robert Penn Warren novel, this film follows the life of a political populist. Starring Sean Penn, Jude Law, and Anthony Hopkins.

I was not impressed with this film. While the film has a number of talented actors, the story is not interesting enough to make it great. It is supposed to portray the corruptness of politicians, but the script is missing a lot of information and there’s a lack of continuity. Although the film has a talented cast, they all seem to be miscast. The film drags along and can’t find the momentum of the story. It just doesn’t do the novel any justice, and it’s not worth the watch.
